[Identified] According to our information there is a fibre cut between Deutsche Telekom and one of our providers which affects at least some customers and a certain amount of inbound calls. While both sides claim that the connection between them is redundant it apparently is not. The cut has been identified this afternoon. The current outlook is that the fibre cut should be repaired in the next hours. The incident has reached the highest escalation level within the two carriers and once the immediate problem is solved they will identify how a fibre cut could possibly create a redundant connection to fail. We will closely watch this process. While NFON (and according to our recent information also our Carrier) is not responsible for the outage we of course understand the frustration for the affected customers. We will do everything in our power to clarify the reasons and improve the situation.

[Identified] We have not received an update so far. The connection issues occur between Deutsche Telekom and one of our carriers. Since this is technically and commercially outside of NFONs responsibility we are unable to influence this at all unfortunately. We keep pressuring the responsible chain of vendors and will keep you informed. Due to our own redundancy, outbound calls should NOT be affected. Inbound calls cannot be rerouted easily in Germany which is why there is no quick solution we can offer and have to wait for the NGN connection to be repaired.

[Monitoring] Our carrier informed us that since appr 11:15 o'clock all inbound termination should be back up. We are monitoring the solution and will force RFO statements in the next days.
